Winter Coat
This is my eleventh winter in Melbourne and I have yet to succumb to owning a black winter coat. The last couple of winters I have been in purple, but I think its time to blend in.
Boys from the Bush.
Our theme for the upcoming school performance is “Australia: Who Are We” and the topic for mine and my teaching partners’ performance is “farming”. We chose that because I’m from an area where they grow grapes and oranges and she grew up pn an emu farm in Woop Woop.
Anyway we are going to get our grade 3/4 city suburban kids to sing and dance to this song. Half them have never set foot in the Aussie bush and literally one third of them were born overseas (e.g. African, Polynesian, Indian, Filipino).
Oh well, education is about expanding knowledge beyond your own life, yeah?
